This system is part of a postgraduate research project at the University of Chester. It aims to modernize academic monitoring by combining artificial intelligence with real-time technologies.
The attendance system uses OpenCV-based face recognition to automatically mark student presence without manual input. This not only improves efficiency but also reduces errors and proxy attendance.
In addition, the system implements a Random Forest machine learning model to predict student dropout risk based on attendance percentage and academic performance.
